Suddenly at home on 16th May 2025, aged 94 years, Jean.

Dear wife of the late Gordon, adored mam of Graham and the late Deborah, devoted nanna of Christopher and Amy, dearest sister of Doreen and the late Margaret, mother-in-law of Ava and a much loved auntie, great auntie and special friend.

Will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, her warmth and kindness will never be forgotten. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday 4th June at Mountsett Crematorium, at 1.15pm.

Please feel free to wear something colourful to reflect Jean's warm and sunny personality. Family flowers only.

Donations in lieu, if desired, will be received on the day, with proceeds to The Alzheimer's Society. All welcome after the service to the Gibside Hotel, Whickham for a celebration of Jean's life.

You always knew when you heard Yooo hooo it was me , so sorry I missed your service Jean but I know your family would have done you proud, got myself a cappuccino and some cream and will raise a cuppa to you tonight. What an absolute pleasure it was to have known you and become your friend. X

We shared so many years with jean and Gordon cracking jokes playing cards lots of food most of all when amy and Christopher came too.It was our precious family time going in to the new year ❤️ together lots of hugs and a beautiful prayer from jean who was always dressed so elegantly and looked amazing we will not forget you ❤️ whenever I rang you always telling me about your day having a laugh ❤️ and always ;always saying how much we cared for each other❤️ you and Gordon will be together now and we love you both ❤️
