JoanSLINGER(Née Wheatcroft) On September 26, Joan, passed away peacefully with daughter, Angela by her side, aged 89 years.
Devoted wife of the late Harold, a much loved mum, beloved nana and great grandma
and a friend to many.

Joan (pictured) was born in Great Harwood and moved to Huncoat where she lived with her
parents and six brothers and sisters.
When she turned sweet 16, Joan left home and this is when she met the love of her life, Harold Slinger.
Joan started her working life in the local Mills before moving on to work for Phillips Electricals.
After a seven year courtship with Harold the pair married in 1960 and then were blessed with their three children Adele in 1963, Angela in 1967 and finally David in 1970.
Joan will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Reunited with Harold.

Joan's funeral will take place in Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, BB5 6HA
on Friday, October 23 at 1.40pm.

Floral tributes are welcome or donations in Joan's memory for British Heart Foundation.
