RonSMITHLt. Col (RETD. RA). Ron's family wish to thank all friends and relatives for the many telephone calls, cards and flowers received at this sad time in the life of the family. Thanks are also extended to all who paid their last respects to Ron at the Cathedral and graveside. Sincere gratitude to Rev. Colin McIntosh for his pastural support and conducting the funeral services and to Rev. John Silcox, Chaplain (Q.V.S.) for his participation in the cathedral service. Our thanks also to Matthew Beetschen, cathedral organist and to the Q.V.S. piper for his musical tributes at the church and graveside. To John McIntyre, our appreciation of his caring, respectful and efficient funeral arrangements. The family thanks also go to the staff of Forth Bank Nursing Home for their care of dad over the past eight months. A special thank you to the staff of Ward 23, Stirling Royal Infirmary for their care of Ron in his final days and their sympathetic and kind support to the family. His soul goes marching on. Donations received in the sum of £530 will be shared equally by Alzheimer's Scotland and the Q.V.S. Centenary Appeal.
