SMITHRaymond James (Ray) Formerly of Allendale Road, Walmely On 28th December 2014 Ray's family were left devastated as his kind and loving heart stopped beating and he passed peacefully away, a week short of his 87th Birthday. His beloved wife Bessie and the rest of his family were beside him. Bessie was the love of his life, having been together for 66 years and married for 62 of those years. This was a couple who were truly in love and wholly dedicated to each other for an entire lifetime. A wonderful example to their family. Ray was a wonderfully loving, patient, kind, generous, humble and gentle man. A genuinely good person who prioritised his family and friends above all. We are all truly blessed to have had him in our lives as a beloved husband, wonderful father, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and uncle. A celebration of Rays life will take place at St Johns Church, Walmley on Friday 16th January 2015 at 1.30pm followed by committal at Streetly Crematorium at 3.00 pm Flowers from immediate family only please but donations in Rays memory would be very much appreciated for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, who kindly supported Ray throughout his illness.
