David HenrySMITHOf Keyworth, passed away peacefully at Belvoir Vale Care Home on 2nd January 2024 at the age of 92 years.

The beloved husband of the late Daphne, father of Peter, Andrew and Michael, grandfather of Toby, Charles and Francis, and dear friend of Helen.

He was born in Bermuda in 1931, the youngest son of Sir Allan and Lady Smith, late of Paget, Bermuda.

He was the founder of Ace Finance Co Ltd in Nottingham, a Justice of the Peace, a prominent Freemason, a member of the British Legion (Keyworth Branch), a former Secretary of the Keyworth Charity Allotments, a founder member of Keyworth and District Historical Society, and a former member of Keyworth Parochial Church Council.

The funeral will be held at St Mary Magdalene's Church, Keyworth, on Friday 9th February at 1pm, followed by burial at Wysall Lane Burial Ground, Keyworth.

Family flowers only, donations may be made to Keyworth and District Community Concern through wonderful.org
