BarbaraSMITHIt is with great sadness that we announce that on Wednesday 9th September 2026 after a long struggle with Dementia, Barbara aged 88 years passed away peacefully whilst in the care of Eastwood Care Home.
Loving wife of the late Bernard, cherished mum of Helen and Andrew, devoted grandma of Danielle, Minka, Emma, William and Lola and great-grandma of Bessie and Rosie. A dear twin sister of Margaret and sister-in-law of the late Bob, special auntie of Julie and David and great friend to many including the members of Scartho Methodist Church. Barbara will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
We would like to thank everyone at Eastwood Care Home for the love and care given to Barbara.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Barbara will take place at Scartho Methodist Church on Tuesday 29th September at 1:00pm, followed by a private committal following this service.
By request family flowers only, but if you do so wish donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Society or given on the day of the service.
