Landlord of The Blue Lias Inn

Dearest Husband of Margaret. Loved Dad of Jane, Paul and Jayne, and Neil. Grandad to Charlotte, Jess, Charlie, George, Taylor and Elsie.

Many thanks to Castle Ward and Opat Team, Warwick Hospital for their wonderful care of Brian over the last 7 months.

The funeral service will take place at Rainsbrook Crematorium, Hillmorton, Rugby in the Avon Chapel on Tuesday 28th May at 2pm.

Family flowers only.

I was so sorry to hear that Brian had died and send my condolences to Brian's family. I did a towpath walk on Sunday 9th June - I haven't done that walk for a while, and someone told me. My late husband and I spent many a happy time at the Blue Lias Inn for a meal or stopping off on a bike ride or towpath walk for a swift half. We loved the hanging baskets and the Christmas decorations of course! Always a lovely place to be, any time of the year. We loved seeing the swans and ducks and their offspring too. Brian made the Lias into a brilliant canal side pub along with his family. Rest in peace Brian. Best wishes Karen Ellis
