LascellesSTANLEYOn the 17th January 2021 Lascelles Stanley, also known as Slim, started his long walk back to the land of his birth, Jamaica. He passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side. Slim was part of the 'Windrush Generation' arriving in the UK in 1955. Slim worked at British Celanese, British Rail and SPC Packing. After his retirement, he travelled the world with his loving wife Bernice, they made many happy memories together. Slim is survived by his wife Bernice, children Franklin, Ronnie, Reita, Lesley, Carolyn, Elizabeth, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. He touched so many lives. 'Out of many one people'. Sleep well.

Uncle Slim: I am beyond sad that you have moved on but know you are relaxing with others gone before you. I am grateful for the time I got to spend with you and the chats we would have when I visited. I will miss that smile of yours but know in time, we will meet again. Rest now my Dear Uncle and May you Rest in Eternal Peace. You are truly missed 😢💔💔💔💔

For as long as I can remember all of your friends knew me as Slim’s little sister. I was small when you left home so I don’t have many childhood memories of you, but later shared some good times on holidays with you and B in England.

Mama always sang this song “Sleep on beloved, take your rest. We all love you but Jesus loves you best.” My dear sweet brother take your rest. Rest In Peace until we meet again.

Love Enid
