HenrySTANSFIELDA small family funeral was held on February 2nd at Haltemprice Crematorium to mark the passing of Harry Stansfield at the age of 101. Harry was born in the heart of the Hessle Road fishing community, an industry in which he spent the whole of his working life (1936-1985). Apart from Royal Navy wartime service on minesweepers, Harry lived in West Hull/Anlaby all his life until being well cared for in his last years at the Old Coach House in Hessle. Joan (nee Burton), his much-loved wife of 72 years, predeceased him in 2017. His sons Steven & Peter led the tributes to a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather, uncle & friend. Rest in Peace Harry after your long years of service to family & country.
