As expected Howard, yesterday was a difficult day, the 1st year anniversary of the worst day of my life when you were taken from me 💔 I went to York, our special place, where we got married and made so many amazing memories together. I went in to the registry office, the Churchill Hotel and had the same drink in the pub we went into straight after our marriage, dressed in our wedding finery! It was bittersweet, lots of tears, heartbreak & wonderful memories. I felt you with me all day ❤️ Missing you so very much Howard, you were my whole world and always will be. The moment that you left me, my heart was split in two. One side was filled with memories, the other died with you. I often lay awake at night, when the world is fast asleep. And take a walk down memory lane with tears upon my cheek. Remembering you is easy, we do it everyday. But missing you is heartache that never goes away. I hold you tightly within my heart and there you shall remain. Life has gone on without you, but it, can never, ever be the same ❤️‍🩹

My darling Howard, it will shortly be a whole year since I lost you and my heart breaks thinking of you, of what you endured so bravely and how much I miss you Howard every single day, and always will, till the day I die 💔 My life was colourful with you in it and now it just feels grey without you 🥲 You were the best husband any wife could wish for and the kindest man anyone could ever want to meet ❤️ You asked me a question near the end ‘We would always have been together Shirl, wouldn’t we?’ and I replied ‘Always darling’ and I meant it with all my heart ❤️ as you were and are irreplaceable.
