Albert EdwardSUMNERSadly passed away on 15th February 2025 surrounded by his family at Whiston Hospital. Albert aged 87 years is survived by his wife Jen and daughter Sarah. Albert was born in Melling and lived in Maghull and Bickerstaffe. He was an engineer who started his working life for Cunard line, travelling between England, America and the Caribbean. He went on to work with Shell, GEC (formerly English Electric)and Ogdens, (part of imperial tobacco). Albert was passionate about his hobbies which included home renovation, badminton and ballroom dancing. When he finished his badminton playing days, he was a keen spectator.
Funeral service will take place at St Thomas's Church, Melling at 12 noon on Monday 10th March 2025 followed by an interment within the Church Cemetery.
