WinifredTAYLORPassed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 1.
Devoted wife to the late Roland Taylor, Winifred (affectionately known as ‘Brown’ by Roland) married in July 1957 – they were together for over sixty five years. Winifred was born October 11 1936 to Tommy and Atalanta (Hetty). Her childhood years were happily spent in Stacksteads alongside her siblings, Peter, Margaret and Pat with an occasional holiday trip to Headford in Ireland, shared with her best friend Hilda.
Winifred was a very loving mum and a very special grandma and great grandma, famous for her fabulous baking and big hugs. A beautiful force of a lady who adored her family and will be missed terribly by us all, but her love, legacy and memories will always be with us. Winifred leaves her sons Andrew, Paul and Mark, partners Bernadette, Carrie and Erica. Grandchildren Matthew, Sophie; Sarah, Jessica; Caitlin and Declan. Great-grandchildren Brodie, Charley, Oliver, Lilith and Billie Rose. Her sister Pat and brothers-in-law; Kevin and Gordon, along with nieces, nephews, their families and friends here in the Valley, Hubberholme, America, Australia and Canada.
Winfred’s funeral service will take place this Thursday, July 10 at 1pm - Woodtop Chapel, Bury Road, Rawtenstall followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm.
