Joyce MayTENN-LYNOn 5th February 2023 Joyce (Jasmine/Jas) May Tenn-Lyn (nee Williams) loving wife and mother, passed away at University Hospital in Coventry at age 86. Born to Mabel and Thomas Williams (nee Wei). She was the last surviving sibling of her generation. She is survived by husband James, son Michael and daughter-in-law Cheryl. She was part of the Windrush Generation and met her husband James (Jim) in London. They then moved to Coventry and where she lived until her passing. She trained as a hairdresser in London and taught hairdressing at the Coventry Technical College until her retirement. She was able to have a long life due of the care she received from the Cardiology Department at the University Hospital in Coventry. Joyce's funeral will be held at St Thomas More RC church, Knoll Drive, Coventry, CV3 5DE on Thursday 23rd March at 11.30am, followed by a service of committal at Canley Crematorium, Charter Chapel at 1pm. Joyce requested that colourful clothing be worn to the funeral. Family flowers only. Donations on behalf of Joyce can be made to the Cardiology Ward at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
