JamesTETLOWPassed away at Treliske, Truro on 27 February 2024. Much loved, sorely missed Dad of Mark, Karen and Sancha, Grandad of Jess, Georgia, Sam and Connor and Great grandad of Jaiden and Elsie. Treasured step-dad and step-grandad of Andrew, Anna, Rachael, Tammy, Tom, Ashley, Sophie and Holly. After spending his formative years in Ashton-under-Lyne, Jim moved with his family down to Cornwall, which was to become his adopted home. It was here he met his first wife Diana and started their family. After her passing, his met his second wife Margaret (deceased). Jim spent his working years as a vital member of the Architects' Department of Cornwall County Council. In later years he was an active member of the local U3A and Truro Methodist church's 'Thursday Club'. As per Jim's wishes there isn't a funeral, donations in his memory can be made to Cornwall Hospice Care or Age UK.

I'll always remember Jim as kind, knowledgeable and a true gentleman, both socially and in the workplace. Enjoyed hearing about, and sometimes benefited from, his car boot finds. Loved his sense of humour, which often left me pondering if he was joking or being serious. Saddened by his passing. Rest in peace.

Rest in peace Jim. We’ll all miss you, you were always so kind and a pleasure to spend time with.
One of my earliest memories was when I must have been 4 or 5 years old at Ladock school, and spent my lunch break looking through a metal fence whilst there was some construction work going on in the playground, I remember seeing you in charge of everything and waved, before proudly saying to a lad stood next to me “that’s my grandad”. I also never actually said but my favourite childhood meal was always a roast chicken cooked by you and Nanny! It couldn’t be beaten!

Love Tom & Ella xx
