James 'Brian'THOMASTHOMAS James 'Brian' Passed away peacefully at Abbeydale Nursing Home on 17th June 2026, aged 88 years.

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather.

Keen golfer, walker, armchair musician and sportsman.

Forever loved and remembered.

The funeral service will be held at Markeaton crematorium on Wednesday 15th July at 2.30pm.

Family flowers only please.

Donations may be made to support both Abbeydale Nursing Home and Treetops Hospice.

Brian was a wonderful neighbour for nearly 40 years. He will be sadly missed. My most wonderful memory was of him laughing walking back to his home on telling him my son had moved to Glasgow. His mirth was because he realised the challenges of my son understanding anyone! We had a good laugh together. May he rest in peace. Thank you for bringing a good neighbour. Ann & family.
