ShirleyTHOMPSONIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shirley Thompson, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Tuesday 3rd March 2026 aged 93.

Beloved wife of David; sister to Marion and Jean; loving mother to Andrew, Steven and Jeffrey. Devoted Grandma to Matthew, William, Charlotte, Bryan, Bailey, Shalina and Aaron; Great Grandma to Logan, Lucas, Edith, Emilia, Rebecca and Nicholas.

Fondly remembered and dearly missed by family, friends, and all who knew Shirley.

Shirley's funeral service will be held Markeaton Crematorium, Main Chapel on Monday 13th April 2026 at 13:30pm.

Following the service we warmly invite you to raise a glass and share more memories of Shirley at The Great Northern, Mickleover, Derby, Derbyshire, DE3 9FB.

Family flowers only

Donations made in lieu will be sent to Midlands Air Ambulance.
