My lovely Nan, I’m so sorry I can’t be with you today to say goodbye. I shall spend the day remembering you in my own way by cherishing the wonderful memories I have of you.

Sneaking in to your room at sleepovers as a child and pulling open your eyelids saying ‘are ya awake Nana’

The way you’d spend such a long time cutting carrots into tiny pieces to mix them in with my mash, just the way I liked them.

Never ever a cross word or a raised voice just endless patience and love.

I feel so so lucky to be your granddaughter, your memory will live on with everyone who loved you, and there are so many of us.

Goodbye Nan, Love you, Soph xxx

In Loving Memory of Our Dearest Nan

Nan’s love reached us across the miles, always warm, thoughtful, and constant. From remembering each of our birthdays to sending her kind wishes on special occasions, she made sure we felt her presence in our lives.

She lived a long, beautiful life —102 years filled with grace, strength, and quiet wisdom. Even from afar, we were blessed to share moments with her, to hear her voice, and to feel the warmth of her love through the little things she never failed to do.

To me, (and her grandchildren) Andrei Marie, Arthur Michael, & Ava Mary, she was a steady, loving presence, someone who showed us what family means, even across the distance.

Thank you, Nan, for the kindness, the care, and the quiet way you made us feel loved. We will carry your memory with us always.

Rest peacefully. You will always be remembered with love and gratitude.
