NoelUPFOLDPassed away on Friday 23rd August 2024, at Marie Curie Hospice, aged 88 years. Kind, intelligent, funny and self-effacing to the very end, he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former students and colleagues around the world. Noel was a much-loved lecturer at Cardiff College of Art during a transformational period in its history, and, in later years, at the University of Glamorgan. His legacy lives on. Resting at Coles Funeral Directors until the service to be held on Thursday 26th September 2024 at Thornhill Crematorium (Wenallt Chapel) at 2.30pm. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, can be made to Marie Curie Hospice, Bridgeman Road, Penarth, CF64 3YR, or to Velindre Cancer Centre, Velindre Road, Cardiff, CF14 2TL, in memory of Noel. I didn't know Noel had died. Very sorry to hear. He was my colleague at Cardiff Met for many years and had sent me a Christmas note every year until this.
