EiraWARD9th December 1930 - 24th July 2017 It is with great sadness that Jonathan and Gill announce the passing of Eira on 24th July 2017, after a short illness. Eira was the dearly loved wife of the late Fred, devoted mother of Jonathan and mother-in-law of Gill, and much loved nana of Katie and Rebecca. We would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy and support at this sad time, and for their attendance at the funeral which took place at Caersalem Chapel, followed by cremation at Llwydcoed Crematorium. Thank you to Pastor Andy Pitt for his comforting words in conducting the service. We also appreciate the kind donations to Cancer Aid Merthyr Tydfil, in memory of Eira. Our thanks also go to Paula and Barney at Morlais Castle Golf Club for providing the excellent venue and refreshments after the service. Finally, our sincere thanks go to Gareth Griffiths of Caradoc Price, Tegwyn Griffiths and Sons, for his personal and caring help throughout, and for the respect and dignity with which he arranged the funeral. Rest in Peace Mum.
