RobertWHELANIT is with great sadness that our family has to announce that Robert Whelan, aged 59, suddenly passed away at home on Thursday, February 20. Robert was a loving family man with a heart of pure gold. He has left a huge hole in all our hearts and will be dearly missed by many. A devoted husband to Adele, a loving dad to Ian, Wayne, Robert and Stephanie, a doting grandad to Charlotte, Skye, Lacie-Mai, Stacey, Connor and Harley. The much loved brother to John, Sheila, Barry, Deborah, Shane, Donna, Julie and the late Hilda and the cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Donations are being received in memory of Robert on behalf of the British Heart Foundation. The funeral service took place on Friday, March 6 at 3pm, at Accrington Crematorium. Funeral director: Champ Funeral Services, Bank House, Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
