Very sad news to hear of Malcolm's passing. I had the fortunate opportunity to work with Malcolm in my early ambulance career at Redruth Ambulance Station. Always such a friendly and approachable person who was willing to pass on his knowledge: the archetypal 'old school' paramedic. I was always amazed by his ability to maintain a speed limit whilst driving without the need to look at the speedo - must have been his many years experience as a driving instructor. Very impressive.

My condolences to Malcolm's family and friends at this sad time.

There are some people you meet during your career who leave a lasting impression, and Malcom was certainly one of them.
He was a great paramedic, but more than that, he was a fantastic mentor and a great colleague. In my early years in the ambulance service, he taught me so much — not just about the job, but about how to approach people, difficult situations and the pressures of the role.
He was steady and grounded, someone you could rely on when things were busy or challenging. He had a calmness about him that made you feel reassured, and a genuine likeability that made working alongside him so enjoyable.
I spent many shifts with him, and looking back, I realise just how fortunate I was to have had someone like him alongside me during those formative years. The lessons, laughs and memories from those shifts will stay with me forever.
He was the kind of colleague who made you a better paramedic simply by working beside him, and the kind of friend you were lucky to have.
Thank you Malcom for everything you taught me, for the support you gave me, and for all those many shifts we shared.
He will be greatly missed, but will always be remembered with enormous respect, gratitude and affection.
My thoughts are with his family.

Sincere condolences to Malcolm’s family. He was a lovely guy. I only worked with him on a few occasions but it was always a pleasure. I will always be grateful to him and his crew mate, after they successfully resuscitated my dad in 2009. RIP Malcolm.
