Peacefully in Durham hospital after a long illness, surrounded by family, on 30th January 2024, aged 96 years.

Ted, loving husband of the late Joan and much loved dad of Peter, father-in-law of Mandy, grandad to Hayley and Edward and great grandad to Bonnie. He will be sadly missed by all his family, friends and neighbours leaving a massive void in all their lives.

Funeral service to be held at Mountsett Crematorium on Wednesday 21st February at 1.15pm.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Kidney Research UK.

Thank you to everyone who donated in my dad’s memory at Mountsett. £183 was collected.
Dad, you were loved and respected and now you are dearly missed and I say that “without any fear of contradiction”.

We’ve had the privilege of living next door to Ted for nearly 50 years. He was one in a million. He would do anything for anyone needing help. He was loving,kind, caring and thoughtful. One of his sayings was “ you don’t know what’s around the corner” How true! Our lives are changed forever but we will never forget Ted in our hearts and minds. Pat & John

We know that there will now be such a huge void in all your lives but you have so many memories of Ted’s full and amazingly happy life to give you some comfort in the future.

We feel so privileged to have had Uncle Ted in our lives, he was very precious to us both and will be a huge miss.
