KathleenWILLIAMSMrs Kathleen Williams, of Holden Place, Helmshore passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 6 at Blackburn Royal Hospital, aged 71. Growing up in Edgeside, Kath was surrounded by a closeknit circle of family and friends. She was happiest when socialising or organising get togethers over coffee and cake. She loved to travel, especially to coastal Cornwall, and enjoyed reading novels, keeping fit and walking in nature. She retired from East Lancs Community Dental Service after 40 years of dental nursing. Kath was an active member of Kay Street Baptist Church, serving on the Pastoral Team and Kay St. Caterpillars. She also volunteered at the Bacup Family Centre. Kath was the youngest daughter of Harold and Annie Trickett. She leaves behind her loving husband Brian, her children and stepchildren, Nicola and Marc, Gareth and Andrew, her son-in-law David and daughter-in-law Leigh, and her older sister Glenda and brother-in-law Hubert. She also leaves her much-loved grandchildren Florence, Rufus, Gabriel and Estie. The cremation will be held at Burnley Crematorium on Friday, November 19 at 10.45am for family and close friends only. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St Mary’s Church, Rawtenstall at 2.30pm, led by Rev Jonny Hirst. (Limited numbers, masks, distancing).
