Dave, we are privileged to have been classed as your friends for 49 years and although in latter years we did not see each other very often due to the long journey, the friendship stayed just as strong and we are so grateful that you were able to come to see us in summer 2023. We always remember (with a smile) Des’ first meeting with you when he almost knocked you off your ladder opening the sitting room door while you were wallpapering! Carly & Sarah always affectionately referred to you as ‘4 finger’ Dave after you showed them where you had lost a finger! You were a real ‘gentleman’ with a great sense of humour and amusing anecdotes. We used to laugh a lot together; we loved the times we spent with you and Janet. It is just so sad that you had to leave us all so soon but you are now out of pain and can sleep peacefully. Until we meet again …..all our love, Kay, Des, Carly and Sarah xxxx
