The obituary notice of Mary Patricia (Mary Pat) WOODS

I stayed with Peter, who was my eldest brother, and Mary on a number of occasions when I was studying at Lancaster College in the 1960’s. Wonderful cooking and even more wonderful sandwiches provided for my lunch. Over the years we exchanged dinner invitations and met at weddings and christening. The last visit was in 2018 when we passed through on our way to visit my daughter’s family in Stroud. Mary provided the most wonderful cake and we spent an hour talking about how swiftly our lives had progressed since I was Best Man at their wedding.

Well what can I say about you Mary . We as a family have known you and your family since Teige and Sam went to Playgroup. We all just seemed to fit together. So much so that I ended up in the headmistresses office because of you and my mum’s antics but that’s another story . We loved you for your fun , get up and go personality , your stories , your kindness , your straight talking , your wit and your laughter…. There are many more qualities .
Rest in peace Mary . We will miss you so much but your memory will always live on in us all . Love Teresa, Bernie , Sam and Megan xx
