JoanWOODWARDPassed away after a short illness on 12th December 2021 at NDDH, aged 94 years. Mother to Ruth, who predeceased her and Philip Sabin. Also survived by five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Joan was first widowed in 1981 following which she moved to Braunton, where she married Geoff Woodward in 2002. Geoff passed away in 2018 after 17 happy years together. She was well known locally for her fundraising as Chairman of the Braunton branch of the RNLI, and later, with Geoff for their Sunday night Bridge Club. Funeral to be held at 11.40am on Thursday 30th December at North Devon Crematorium, Barnstaple. No flowers please. Donations to the RNLI at the service or c/o L. Clarke & Sons, Braunton, EX33 1EE.
