John GrahamMITCHELSONJohn Graham Mitchelson ("Graham")
Passed away peacefully on 27th July 2026, aged 97 years.
Beloved husband of the late Gwynneth, loving dad to David and Carolyn, cherished grandad and great grandad to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a dear friend to many.
Graham spent his working life as a Trading Standards Officer, but his greatest passion was always his family. Together with Gwynneth, he devoted himself to raising their children and creating a happy family life. In later years, this love continued through the special bond he shared with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, taking great delight in sharing his hobbies, interests and treasured memories with them.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Graham owned an array of motorcycles throughout his life and took great pride in passing down his riding boots and stories of his adventures. He also enjoyed many holidays and days out, particularly visiting National Trust properties where he could indulge his love of history. Whether exploring the countryside or tending to his garden, Graham found happiness in the outdoors and embraced every opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest.
Loved by many, Graham will be remembered for his cheekiness, warmth, kindness and enthusiasm for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Service to Celebrate Graham's Life will take place at Loughborough Crematorium on Wednesday 26th August 2026 at 3:30pm and afterwards a Celebration of Life is to be held at the Quordon Fox, Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory of Graham, in lieu of flowers, are welcomed for the National Trust, an organisation that brought Gwynneth and Graham great pleasure throughout their lives.
