RichardTHOMASTHOMAS CBE. QPM Richard (Of Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire) Died peacefully, aged 84, on 9th October, 2006, after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease. Chief Constable of Mid Wales Police from 1963 - 1968 and of Dyfed-Powys Police 1973 - 1986. He was the beloved husband of Bettine, father of Mandy and Mark and dear grandfather to their four children. The funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity P.C., Minchinhampton, on Wednesday 18th, October, at 1.00 p.m., followed by private cremation.
