Paul JohnMADDENIt is with great sadness that we announce that Paul passed away on Thursday 27th August on ward 128 of the Royal Stoke Hospital after a short illness. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on ward 128 for their support and care during an extremely difficult time.

Beloved father to Rachel, Julia and Andrew. Proud Grandfather to Liam, Aaliyah, Ruby, Riley and Elizabeth, and loving brother and best friend to Jayne.

The funeral service and cremation will take place at Bradwell Crematorium on Monday 14th September 2026 at 12 noon. Would all relatives and friends please meet at the crematorium.

No flowers by request, donations are welcome to Cancer Research UK. A donation box will be available at the crematorium should anyone wish to make a donation on the day.

Thinking of Paul and remembering those wonderful Hong Kong nights on the terrace—the long chats, the deep dives into the philosophy of life, and all the wise words of wisdom he so generously imparted. Getting to know him was a true blessing.
His cheeky smile and sharp wit were unforgettable, and it brings so much comfort to see that very same spark living on so brightly through you, Julia.
