Our deepest condolences to the family. Even though we only knew Cliff when he visited Lorraine in NZ he definitely made an impact on our family. He was like a Grandpa to our children. He was funny and always had a smile and joke to share with everyone. I remember the time he asked me if he could sing me a song in my lounge. I was so happy I felt honoured, it reminded me so of my own dad who love singing and music too. Cliff I know you will be missed but you will have Guardian Angels surrounding you in heaven and I know you will keep singing. Thank you for always making us all feel loved, included and especially part of your family. You were so happy when you discovered our daughter’s name was Geordie you kindly gave her a cup with her name on it. Thank you Cliff and may you rest in peace from Milly, Musso, Meshach and Geordie Humby 🫶

He was the best of Uncles & my very lovely godfather. He always had a story to tell, that amazing grin, was liable to burst into song at any given moment, & had the most positive outlook on life. He is one of the biggest characters of my childhood memories. RIP Uncle Cliff xx

We will always remember Uncle Cliff with love and fondness. His laughter and cheeriness were infectious. We spent many Christmases together and there would always be that wonderful point of the night where he would start singing -'Delaney's Donkey' was my favorite! Love from Katy and family xxx

In loving memory of Uncle Cliff — Mike’s favourite uncle and a truly great man. Gentle, kind, and always full of stories and song, he brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. We’ll never forget his renditions of The Lambton Worm, Blaydon Races, and Albert and the Lion — songs that now echo with love and memory. He leaves behind a legacy of joy, humour, and compassion that will stay with all of us. With deepest sympathy and all our love,
Hon, Mike and family

Google says Albert and The Lion is beloved in the North of England for its wit, rhythm, and dry humour; just like Cliff. He leaves behind a legacy of joy, humour, and compassion that will stay with all of us.
