Meet the Team - Annie Cartmell

Annie manages our Customer Contact Team who handle all our Funeral Notices enquiries, and she has been with us for over six years.

When she’s not working, Annie loves spending time with family, eating out, and has a new found love of gardening after purchasing her own home. Annie came to us while studying at University to become a teacher and has stayed with us, becoming an integral part of our customer focussed team.

Customer Contact Team Manager

The Customer Contact Team assists customers via all our communications be it Live Chat, over the phone or email. They are a multi-skilled team with a wealth of knowledge, and make a real difference to our customer experience.

Annie is passionate about her job and her team:

“This is a great team to manage. Lots of variety and different challenges each day….very rewarding too, knowing we are making a real difference to people by providing a quality service. We always receive fantastic customer feedback, which is just what we strive for.”

Annie has seen the team through some huge changes and challenges over the last couple of years, including the adjustment to becoming a remote workforce, and all while maintaining our high standards of efficiency and customer service.

Annie's team speak with people across the UK, often at the very start of their grieving process as they help and support them in announcing the passing of their loved ones. It's not a job for everyone, and Annie is immensely proud of the way her team handle these difficult conversations:

“We are there to listen and advise, helping our customers through some of their most difficult times. Everyone is so compassionate, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service. We have a diverse team with a mixture of ages, different skill sets and strengths - all complement each other. I feel very lucky to manage such a great team, we are like one big family.”
