Well, that's another year almost done and what a year it was, again. With Christmas deadlines coming up, we have created some deadline guides for you to download and keep handy and thought that as we've had a lot going on lately, we would give you a quick roundup of our latest news.

Flexible Style Notices - Thank You

A quick note of thanks for the way you have embraced the biggest change to newspaper notices in our history. Feedback from our readers is overwhelmingly positive and we are confident we have a traditional notice fit for 2022. The last remaining regions have gone live with the new notice style this week and we now have one great style of notice appearing in every one of our newspapers across the UK. A tremendous achievement - thank you.

Acknowledgements

Just a reminder that all acknowledgement notices are now priced at a fixed £50 + VAT across all of our newspapers. Acknowledgements also benefit from our new flexible style and offer a space for your company logo and a photo if desired. These offer excellent value to families who wish to give thanks after the service.

Christmas Memorial Wall

Remember loved ones this Christmas
This year we have created a Memorial Wall for people to add their free tributes to loved ones.

As you'll know from the views and tributes on your online notices, virtual resources have played a huge role in helping people with their grief over the last couple of years.

This feature will be available on funeral-notices.co.uk from December 1st to January 4th, 2022, and will provide a safe space online for anyone wishing to remember a loved one this Christmas.

This might be a free resource you would like to share with your families. You can visit the Memorial Wall here.

Christmas Deadlines - Daily Newspapers

Christmas falls on a Saturday this year so any of our daily titles that usually publish on a Saturday, won't be publishing on Saturday 25th December. There are also no changes to deadlines on Thursday 30th or Friday 31st December for daily newspapers. You can read every deadline for every daily print title on Christmas week by opening the document below.

Christmas Deadlines - Weekly Newspapers

For some of our weekly titles, there are no changes to deadlines at all this year. For others the deadlines is 12 noon on 24th or/and 31st December. The document below lists every weekly title and the deadlines you will need to use on Christmas week.

Funeral Director Team Opening Hours
With Christmas falling on a weekend, there aren't many changes to our opening hours this year. We will be closed from 1pm on Christmas Eve, returning after the Bank Holidays on Wednesday 29th December.

For New Year we will close at 1pm on New Years Eve, opening again (and returning back to normal) on Tuesday 4th January.

Our booking site will be open as usual 24/7 for you to book your own notices and we will have teams on hand to check them prior to publication deadline. You also have the option to publish notices online immediately.

You can book your own notices by visiting our self serve portal here

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

2021, what a year! We appreciate what a tough year this one has been for everyone in the funeral industry with the continuing covid crisis, changes brought about by the CMA regulations and supply chain issues impacting almost every business sector in the UK. The team here at funeral-notices would like to thank you for everything you continue to do, often under appreciated and out of the spotlight. We wish you a very merry Christmas and hope you all get to take some time out with family and friends.

From our team to each and every one of you, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
